Atrantil not working

Been taking this for 8 days now and have had no changes what so ever. I'm being treated for possible SIBO secondary to slow transit constipation. Anyone else have the same problem?

I understood that you should take it at least 10-20 days with a low carbohydrate diet before you will notice any changes.  I have not personally experienced any major changes myself, but I just started taking this supplement tonight. I will say that I am not experiencing any excessive bloating right now -- which is a miracle since I just had a tuna sandwich.  I will continue to monitor my gut. Good luck to you.

Methylcellulise irritates my intestines about 16 hours after I take it.

Hello, Have you experienced relief now that a month has gone by?

I have been using it for a week with very little change (so far), though I read it can take 20-30 days to experience relief.

I have only used it for 10 days so far. I noticed that I was not as bloated in the mornings. I also noticed that I had difficulty digesting a ricotta-filled lasagna dish and was more bloated than usual.  I plan to use both bottles of Atrantil -- and avoid all dairy dishes-- to see if I get better results in the future.

I suffer from IBS and have been on the FODMAP diet for about a year now.  What I eat is a direct correlation to pain.   I have been taking one tablet per day for the past five days and today have symptomatic signs like when I eat wrong without eating wrong.  I'm experiencing a low level bloat, fever and low level distress.  I am afraid to take more than one pill and also afraid almost to continue.  I really would love this to be the magic thing that allows me to dine out occasionally without being a freak.  Comments are appreciated.  I did just take ibuprofen.

I had to stop taking it because I also have IC/PBS and this made it MUCH worse unfortunately.

I have been taking Align for a few weeks now with very good results.  Also trying to be more diligent about sticking to the FODMAP acceptable foods.

thanks for the response, it is nice to know I am not alone in my digestive disorder.  Although I have been hearing more and more that probiotics are a bad thing for IBS--  from what I see online Align is a probiotic right?  I am willing to try anything, but the probiotic I took in the past was not a good solution.  I am sick on this atrantil, feels like the flu.  They say is normal, but is hard to keep taking a pill that I feel is making me sick.  I think I will stick it out for another week and then if these symptoms don't subside dump this one.

Does anyone know of a good chat area for IBS/fodmap patients?  I am having a hard time finding a support group

Did you ever get any relief?
No I tried the afternoon till one more time but again it would bother my left intestine for a whole day I couldn't work like that. So I just have to try and avoid anything with citric acid or oils in it that causes my intestine to burn.... not fun
Tried Atrantil^
Did you find any relief with anything else? I have a lot of bloating so I am praying this works.. but I feel maybe right now I'm a little more bloated. I have been taking antrantil for 10 days so far.. luckily I haven't had the reaction you have had.. just not sure how much longer to take it to see if it works or not. I know they say up to 30 days but a lot of people say if it worked for them it was within days
It took about 30 days for it to actually work but it finally did. I still have problems but way less than they were. I'm not only taking a maintenance dose of 2-3 pills per day instead of 3 per meal.

I couldn't tolerate it because of my IC/PBS but have found relief with taking Align daily and also more than anything trying to stick to the low FODMAP diet.
